Help with differential to single ended voltage converter
The differential amplifier stage with a current-mirror dynamic load is a unique circuit solution which is widely used in internal structures of operational amplifiers. In the 90's, I was able to find an intuitive explanation for the clever idea on which it was built and began to promote it. That is why this question asked in Codidact caught my attention. In my answer , I decided first to comment the two answers (of Olin Lathrop and LvW ) from two months ago and then to give my explanation. Here are my comment and answer. My Comment I will begin my answer by commenting on the other two answers from two months ago. I will show that they do not contradict but rather complement each other. Ideal current sources. I can not agree with Olin Lathrop's assertion that this arrangement "works fine for ideal current sources as long as they are passive" since, as he himself has noted, the circuit will be a comparator and the output voltage will stay close to one of the supply...
